Chakra Healing
A grounded, practical journey through all seven chakras — body, breath, sound and daily life
8 lessons · about 90 minutes of reading · free, no signup
Chakra work can be approached in many ways. This course takes a grounded, hands-on route. The chakras are a centuries-old contemplative map from tantric yoga — a way of paying attention to body, emotion and behaviour, region by region. Used that way, they're a remarkably practical tool for self-understanding.
Each of the seven chakra lessons gives you what that centre is traditionally about, what imbalance tends to look like in everyday life, a body practice, its seed (bija) mantra to chant, journal prompts, and one real-world action for the week. The Chakra Check-In on this page takes two minutes, points you to the lesson to practise next, and saves your results so you can compare week to week or moon to moon.

Chakra Check-In
Two minutes. Answer for how the last week has actually been, not how you want it to be. Repeat it every week or at each new moon and watch what shifts.
Root · I feel physically safe, steady and at home in my body.
Sacral · I let myself feel my emotions and enjoy simple pleasures.
Solar plexus · I act on my decisions and feel confident in my own power.
Heart · I give and receive care easily, including towards myself.
Throat · I say what I really think and feel, clearly and kindly.
Third eye · I trust my intuition and see my situation clearly.
Crown · I feel connected to something larger and my life feels meaningful.

- Take the Chakra Check-In below before you start. That's your first snapshot.
- Read Lesson 1, then walk one chakra a day for seven days — root to crown.
- After that, retake the Check-In once a week (or at each new moon). Practise the lesson for your two lowest scores that week.
- Every few months, start a new round and walk all seven again in order. Compare your Check-In history with where you began.
Safety: Chakra work is a reflective and contemplative practice, not a medical or psychological treatment. If you are dealing with physical symptoms, depression, trauma or anxiety, please work with a qualified professional alongside any practice here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this chakra healing course free?
Yes. All eight lessons, the quizzes and the Chakra Check-In are free with no signup. Your results are saved privately in your browser so you can retake the check-in and compare over time.
How do I know if a chakra is blocked?
In this course, 'blocked' means under-active: the qualities that centre governs are hard to access. Each chakra lesson lists everyday signs — for example, constant financial or physical insecurity for the root, or difficulty speaking up for the throat. The Chakra Check-In gives you a quick snapshot of which centres feel weakest right now.
What are the bija mantras for the chakras?
The traditional seed syllables are LAM (root), VAM (sacral), RAM (solar plexus), YAM (heart), HAM (throat) and OM (third eye). The crown is usually approached through silence. Each lesson teaches how to chant its bija.
Where do the chakras come from?
The chakras come from medieval Indian tantric traditions; the seven-chakra system most people know was set out in texts such as the Ṣaṭ-cakra-nirūpaṇa (1577) and reached the West through Sir John Woodroffe's The Serpent Power in 1919. The rainbow colour scheme is a modern Western addition. Lesson 1 covers this in more detail.
How long does it take to balance the chakras?
Chakra work isn't a one-time fix — it's a way of checking in with yourself. Most people notice clearer patterns after one seven-day cycle and real shifts in their Check-In scores after a month of weekly practice.
